It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Rolf, with whom I have worked for the last three years at the Center for Electronic Art. Rolf has taught out digital design classes in Photoshop, Illustrator and Web Graphics, and is exceptionally skilled id these areas, both as a designer and as an instructor.

As an instructor, he is always highly professional, informative, and enthusiastic. He is very attentive to the needs of the students, and has a clear understanding of their educational and career objectives, based on his own experience as a designer and artist. Rolf supports the students' portfolio development as well as their technical skills, through class projects and one-on-one critique. He has a gift for providing feedback that leads to growth. He is very good at handling difficult students, at keeping on task, and motivating students to produce work they are proud of. His students always give him high praise, and many have told me personally that he is one of the best instructors they have ever worked with.

As a colleague and instructor in my program, I found him to be approachable, supportive, and a good listener. I have enjoyed our discussions about program goals, curriculum development and design, and have appreciated the attention he gives to these issues. His energy and intelligence will be a valuable resource in any educational program or design project.
